After the couple were first wed in a civil ceremony in Japan in 2010 so the bride could join her husband in the Air Force overseas, the couple returned to Pittsburgh to exchange vows in front of family and friends.
The nuptials took place at the First Baptist Church, a few blocks from the Pitt campus, where the college sweethearts met the first day of their freshman year.
Gospel singers and an organist added celebratory music to an orthodox ceremony officiated by Father John Chakos at Holy Cross Church. The couple invited their guests to a reception held in the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer.
The program for the service included the hymns in both English and Korean in honor of Andy’s family who traveled from Korea and wore traditional Korean celebratory dresses for the special occasion.
