Maria and Daniel were pronounced man and wife during a deeply religious ceremony at St. Bernard Parish (311 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon; 412/561-3300, stbernardchurch.com).
Elizabeth Holmgren of The Botanical Emporium (412/563-7008, thebotanicalemporium.com) created stunning bouquets made of proteas.
Travis Neely (412/310-2133, travisneelyphotography.com) photographed the timeless wedding; prop umbrellas were available for the bride and bridesmaids (rented from bellaumbrella.com, 206/297-1540).
On the Bride:
Maria wore a vintage-style beaded gown by Maggie Sottero (Bridal Beginning, 450 Cochran Road, Mt. Lebanon; 412/343-6677, bridalbeginning.com) and her mother’s veil.
On the Groom:
Daniel (and his groomsmen) wore JoS. A. Bank attire—and the groom’s tie was a gift from his bride.
Held at LeMont (1114 Grandview Ave., Mt. Washington; 412/431-3100, lemontpittsburgh.com), this reception included several special touches, like handmade votive candles and a lavish candy table assembled by the bride’s mother. Keeping with the vintage theme, guests took black-and-white pictures in a photo booth (Red Eye Photo Booth; 800/856-6098, redeyebooths.com).
Signature Desserts (3360 Library Road, Castle Shannon; 412/882-9960, signaturedesserts.com) created a tiered red-velvet cake with cream-cheese icing; it was topped with a silhouette of a bride and groom (purchased online at etsy.com/shop/silhouetteweddings).
The couple was thrilled with DJ Sosa, who kept everyone dancing (booked through Steve Maffei Jr., 412/207-4634).
