Pittsburgher of the Year
On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, Pittsburgh Magazine honored their 2019 Pittsburgher of the Year – Max King. He is a writer, a leader, an educator and a advocate for vulnerable groups across our city.
Max King has made Pittsburgh his adopted home and shaped its future in ways that will be felt forever. His list of accomplishments is staggering, from running The Pittsburgh Foundation and and the Heinz Endowments to writing a best-selling biography on Fred Rogers. For all he has done for Pittsburgh since arriving here from Philadelphia two decades ago, Max King is out 2019 Pittsburgher of the year.
