On the Bride:
The bride went for a sleek look with a satin gown purchased from The White Orchid (4907 Clairton Blvd., Baldwin; 412/885-4411, thewhiteorchid.com), accessorized with the same earrings she wore to prom when she went with her future husband.
On the Groom:
The groom rented a classic tux from Tuxedo Junction (multiple locations; 800/724-1800, tuxedojunction.com).
Reception:
Guests convened in the grand ballroom at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh-Meadow Lands (340 Racetrack Road, Washington; 724/222-6200, doubletree.hilton.com) decked out in the weddings colors using chair covers (Satin Chair Covers by Robin; 724/745-7091, satinchaircoversbyrobin.com). They commemorated the occasion with a thumbprint tree guestbook, created by a professional fine artist and her artist husband (etsy.com/shop/bleudetoi) who draw trees on which guests “leaf” their thumbprints and signatures.
Cake:
The couple’s traditional wedding cake was half chocolate, half vanilla and decorated with ribbon and fresh flowers by Krency's Bakery (990 Jefferson Ave., Washington; 724-222-6690).
Music:
DJ Eric Schiemer (412/436-3445, schiemerentertainment.com) lit the floor with the couple’s monogram, then filled it with guests dancing to his music.
