This handsome guy arrived at Animal Friends as a transfer from another organization. While Bookie resides at our shelter, he is working hard with staff and volunteers to learn manners and ways to channel his high energy. Bookie is very exuberant and enjoys long, calm walks where he can take time to relax and sniff, and searching for treats along trails or around a room! Bookie would like an adult-only home where he can have all of your attention. He would like a home that understands his specific needs, and is willing to work with him every day to ensure he blossoms into a well-behaved gentleman. Bookie may be able to live with a canine sibling, pending a successful meet-and-greet at the shelter. It’s not a gamble to say that Bookie will win your heart!

Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our animals in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.
