Michelle Latta loves advertising so much that, as a toddler, she preferred commercials over actual television programs. In college, she fell in love with the agency world and began a longstanding admiration of the industry’s many talented business leaders.

Latta, a brand strategist by trade, founded Rebel Fox in 2016 as a brand consulting firm. Clients loved working with the team so much that the company expanded into the full-service marketing firm it is today.

“Advertising is an amazing profession because I’m always learning,” Latta says. “We are always meeting wonderful new client partner teams. I’ve grown into an immensely curious marketer and love the adventure of what each new day brings.”

One of Latta’s recent adventures is also one she’s most proud of. Her team created the Logo visual identity and advertising campaign that helped launch the newly renamed Kamin Science Center. For this, in 2025, they won the American Marketing Association’s Marquee Award for Best Nonprofit Integrated Marketing and were a finalist for the Public Relations Society of America’s Best Integrated Campaign award.

Latta’s advice for other women is simple: “The most important business tools for success are free: integrity, respect, and kindness,” she says. “As you get older, you begin to understand that your job is less about what you can achieve, and more about helping clients, partners, and teammates achieve their goals.”

Toward that end, she’s the first to tell you that her team is comprised of extremely talented individuals. They are the reason Rebel Fox is successful. Latta’s hope is that this success is only the beginning. Her goal is for Rebel Fox to become the most sought-after advertising agency for travel and tourism.

Latta also enjoys giving back to her community. She volunteers at the National Aviary, the Women’s Business Enterprise Center East and the American Marketing Association. She sits on the boards for the Audubon Society of Western PA and the Advertising Federation of Pittsburgh.

Wherever she goes, Latta takes with her the best advice she ever received: “Every person is important, no matter their job. And no matter where you are on the corporate ladder, remember the Golden Rule.”

Michelle Latta will be honored at the Women & Business Awards event on May 19.
