Pittsburgh Pet of the Week: Governor

This big man is two-years-old and weighs almost 80 pounds. Make an appointment to meet him at Animal Friends.

Governor

Breed: Hound, Bloodhound | Sex: Male
Age: 2.1 years | Weight: 77 pounds
Arrived: November 24, 2021

Governor likes to use his nose with everything and loves long walks. He needs some positive reinforcement training to help with his manners. He also can be a little uneasy with some handling and would do well in a home that would take things at this pace. Governor could live with another dog but can be selective with his dog friends. He also would do best in an adult-only home.

Each of our dogs has received a thorough medical examination, is current on all appropriate vaccinations (including rabies) and has been microchipped and spayed or neutered.

Animal Friends is open for adoption by appointment only, please email our Adoption team at AdoptionInfo@ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org to set up a time to visit.

Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our dogs in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.
