Pittsburgh Pet of the Week: Bartow

Bartow is an independent soul who would rather live with adults. Make an appointment to meet him at Animal Friends.

Breed: Husky, Siberian/Shepherd| Sex: Male
Age: 3.1 years | Weight: 52 pounds
Arrived: May 28, 2021

Bartow arrived at Animal Friends with a transfer from dogs from Florida. He is an independent soul who would rather live with adults. Bartow is playful but a little shy at first because he isn’t a fan of being handled. Bartow is positive for Heartworm and is undergoing treatment. Because of that, we are looking for a home without another dog or cat. He is available to meet and would continue his treatment with us as a foster to adopt scenario.

Each of our dogs has received a thorough medical examination, is current on all appropriate vaccinations (including rabies) and has been microchipped and spayed or neutered.

Animal Friends is open for adoptions by appointment only, please email our Adoption team at AdoptionInfo@ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org to set up a time to visit.

Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our dogs in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.
