This high-energy young man came to Animal Friends, through a transfer from another shelter located in Polk County, Florida. Alfred has been enjoying his time in the ‘Burgh and cannot wait to find his forever home. Alfred would do best in a home that can work with him, in a positive way, on his leash manners and being jumpy. Alfred should live in a home with children 13 or older and can and can live with another dog. He has no experience with cats. Alfred also has a complimentary scholarship for a Companion Dog Manners class upon registration.
Each of our dogs has received a thorough medical examination, is current on all appropriate vaccinations (including rabies) and has been microchipped and spayed or neutered.

Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our dogs in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.

Veterans
Animal Friends waives the requested adoption donation for veterans and active-duty members.
