Lucy Is Back

“Is Lucy back?” has become a beloved social media trend over the past few years. The answer is, “Yes.”

Lucy Nguyen, Pittsburgh’s beloved bánh mì vendor, returned from her annual winter holiday in her native Vietnam on Monday. Nguyen first started selling her sandwiches — the Vietnamese staple is known for its tasty combination of marinated meats and pickled vegetables tucked inside a baguette — in front of her former Strip District restaurant My Ngoc Restaurant but has spent the past decade preparing sandwiches in the lot next to Bar Marco

Viridis to Close

Viridis, one of our 12 Best Vegan and Vegetarian Eateries, will close at the end of the month. We lauded the establishment for its cravable breakfast sandwiches and airy donuts. Viridis’ Instagram post notes the “decision was extremely difficult to come to” and that they “have loved every minute of this journey.” The South Side location will be open through March 27.
