With the recent rash of storm-related power outages, many Pittsburghers are used to dining in the dark.

Pitch Black livens up that experience by offering drinks and entertainment on top of a decadent, two-course meal at Revival on Lincoln.

Located at 366 Lincoln Ave. in Bellevue, the former funeral home-turned-upscale restaurant is hosting dinners on Sept. 29 and Oct. 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and 8 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $85 per person.

The event is organized by Hidden Media Network, an Australian company that brings immersive pop-ups to cities around the world.

Last year, the Aussies selected DiAnoia’s Eatery in the Strip District for a series of Pitch Black dinners. During the 2021 holiday season, they transformed Hough’s Taproom & Brewpub in Greenfield into The Tipsy Elf.

Upon their arrival, Pitch Black diners will enter a warmly lit room where they’ll be seated and blindfolded. Throughout the 90-minute culinary journey, they’ll use their heightened senses of taste, smell, sound and mouthfeel. An emcee will entertain attendees with games and other challenges.

If guests need to leave the table for any reason, a waiter will guide them to a lighted area outside of the dining room and usher them back in to enjoy the blind taste test.
