Avenue B in Shadyside will close on March 2. “It was a great run. We did it for more than eight years. Our lease came up for renewal and we decided it was time to move on,” says Executive Chef/owner Chris Bonfili.

The restaurant, a perennial honoree on Pittsburgh Magazine’s Best Restaurants list, is known for its contemporary American cuisine and comfortable bistro atmosphere.

Bonfili says that he will continue to operate B Gourmet in Sewickley and is in the process of finalizing details on a new project.
