Adoptable & Adorable: Pittsburgh Pet of the Week: Eugene

Eugene has a ton of energy and is extremely smart. Make an appointment to meet him at Animal Friends.

Eugene 2

Breed: Retriever, Labrador/Mix| Sex: Male
Age: 2.6 years | Weight: 59 pounds
Arrived: June 20, 2020

This sweet boy came to us from a transfer with another shelter.  Eugene may be able to live with another dog, but he is very selective with his doggy friends. He would do best in a home with adults only. Eugene has a ton of energy and is extremely smart, so he will need a family willing to work with him on training. He will need positive reinforcement to help him with manners, as he can become overly excited sometimes. Because he has so much energy and is so intelligent, it will be important for Eugene’s family to give him not only a lot of physical exercise but mental enrichment as well.

Each of our dogs has received a thorough medical examination, is current on all appropriate vaccinations (including rabies) and has been microchipped and spayed or neutered.

Animal Friends is open for adoptions by appointment only, please email our Adoption team at AdoptionInfo@ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org to set up a time to visit.

Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our dogs in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.
