Benjamin Luczak wants to accomplish two things in his career: greater visibility toward the arts and culture in Westmoreland County and the Laurel Highlands, and for everyone to feel welcome when they come to a performance at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg.

As the CEO of the Westmoreland Cultural Trust, he is in a unique position to accomplish both of those tasks.

“If I was not exposed to arts and culture and accessible initiatives at a young age, I would not be in the place I’m [in] today,” he says.

Under his leadership, the trust has strengthened artistic programming, expanded community partnerships, introduced an Americans with Disabilities Act initiative and much more. Luczak also volunteers his time as a community advisor, serving on boards and grant panels to champion accessibility and inclusion in the arts.

“I hope to always be in the nonprofit sector and serve the communities I’ve lived in well,” he says.
