In the 1993 comedy “Groundhog Day,” disgruntled weatherman Phil Connors finds himself caught in a time loop. He repeats the February holiday for what seems like an eternity — according to one estimate, spending close to 34 years trapped in the same Punxsutawney routine.

And for many fans, they’d happily spend that much time watching “Groundhog Day.”

The beloved film, which was set in Pittsburgh and Punxsutawney but filmed mostly in New York and Illinois, celebrated its 30th anniversary a few years back. It’s become annual viewing for many; as unhappy as Bill Murray’s character is to be trapped in “Groundhog Day,” we’re all too happy to watch him try to break the spell.

As the Feb. 2 holiday approaches, we started to wonder: What Pittsburgh movie could you watch every day?

With dozens of classics and fan favorites having been filmed in Pittsburgh, there are no shortage of options — but it takes a certain kind of movie to be endlessly rewatchable. In “Groundhog Day,” Phil only has one big-screen option, heading to the local cinema to watch “Heidi 2” more than 100 times.

If you were stuck in a loop, what Pittsburgh-shot movie would you be willing to watch day after day? (And, since there’s no more than a few establishing shots of the city, you can’t pick “Groundhog Day.”)
