Some of e2's Most Beloved Dishes Are Back

Chef Kate Romane, now of Black Radish Kitchen, launches Love and Meatballs CSA this week.

Are you missing the much-beloved meatballs at now-closed e2? Can't stop thinking about gorgonzola mess? Or Sunday sauce? Chef Kate Romane, who now operates Black Radish Kitchen in Point Breeze, feels your longings. The celebrated chef is launching Love and Meatballs, a three-month subscription designed to deliver — quite literally — some of her most notable dishes to customers' doorsteps (those living beyond a 10-mile radius of Black Radish will have to pick up their orders in-person).

For a $125 fee, subscribers will receive three monthly shipments of a dozen meatballs, one quart of red sauce, 1/2 pint of gorgonzola mess and a 1/4 sheet of focaccia. There are 100 slots for the package, which will begin delivery service in January.
