Pittsburgh Magazine has confirmed with both the production team and participants that the Pittsburgh episode of Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown” is scheduled to air on CNN at 9pm on Sunday, October 22nd.

As PM first reported in June, Bourdain and company shot scenes at locations including the Squirrel Hill Cafe (Squirrel Cage), Grandma B’s in the Hill District, Teutonia Männerchor in Deutschtown and Hidy’s Cafe in Rankin. Chefs Jamilka Borges (Spoon), Sonja J. Finn (Dinette), Justin Severino (Cure and Morcilla) and Kevin Sousa (Superior Motors) all participated in the shoot.

We’ve heard that the show loosely is themed around “Pittsburgh Old and New.” Which chefs and what locations will make the final cut? We’ll be watching in October to find out. We suspect we won't be the only ones tuning in.
