After Two Years in Business, Three Brothers Bagels Is on a Roll
The Glenshaw eatery offers a Bagel Happy Hour and has a new food truck.
Three Brothers Bagels now has one food truck.
Two years after opening the business in Glenshaw’s Mt. Royal Shopping Center, owners Colin and Sofia Whiddon (and their trio of children) are on a roll.
The mobile unit makes its debut on Sept. 27, but it isn’t going far. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., it will be parked in the lot next to the shop serving Nashville hot chicken sandwiches and fries to folks attending the Shaler Area School District homecoming parade.
Throughout the fall, the Three Brothers Bagel Truck will hit the road on Wednesdays with an array of breakfast sandwiches, smash burgers, cheesesteaks and other lunch options on their hand-rolled, naturally leavened, sourdough bagels. Keep an eye on social media for updates. One of their regular stops will be Cafe Conmigo’s Wexford location on Route 19, a spot that’s been selling the baked goods for years.
The Whiddons plan to adjust the bagel truck menu based on customer demand.
They’ve already upped their bagel selection from nine to 13 varieties since 2023, along with seasonal specials. Tied for most popular are the Plain and Everything bagels. Pumpkin bagels will be around through October. Good luck trying to grab a pumpkin spice cinnamon roll before they sell out again this Saturday.
The couple doesn’t only cater to early birds. The brick-and-mortar location hosts Bagel Happy Hour from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays so afternoon customers can grab a fresh dozen for half the price.
Inspired by Yeastie Boys, a Los Angeles-based bagel company that has a fleet of food trucks tooling around Tinseltown, Colin Whiddon says they added the truck to get their bread in the bellies of more ‘burghers.
Three Brothers Bagels is located at 1718 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
