Meet Pittsburgh's James Beard Award Semifinalists

Pittsburgh has eight nominations in six categories.

The James Beard Foundation announced the names of the semifinalists for its 2018 Restaurant and Chef Awards. Pittsburgh is represented in six categories. The foundation will name the finalists on March 14 and the winners will be announced at an awards gala in Chicago on May 7. Pittsburgh Magazine will keep you updated throughout the process.

Outstanding Pastry Chef: Casey Renee
Outstanding Wine, Beer, or Spirits Professional: Meredith Meyer Grelli and Alex Grelli, Wigle Whiskey
Rising Star Chef of the Year: Becca Hegarty, Bitter Ends Garden & Luncheonette
