Pittsburgh’s “eatertainment” experts have launched a new restaurant group.

Herky and Lisa Pollock and Chef Ed and Amanda Smith, the couples behind Ritual House, Palm Palm, Shorty’s and The Common Good, joined forces with Matthew Minichino, who has experience with national brands, to form Legacy Hospitality Group.

The collective plans to open a minimum of three additional concepts in 2026, with more in store in 2027.

“It’s an exciting time for growth in our city and we’re doubling down our investment in our favorite place,” says Herky Pollock, who founded Legacy Reality, a commercial real estate firm, in 2024. “We are building a legacy of sincere values, excellent hospitality and a deep commitment to our region and our neighbors.”

Opened in 2023, Downtown’s Ritual House made Pittsburgh Magazine’s 2025 list of the 25 Best Restaurants in Pittsburgh while Palm Palm in East Liberty was honored as one of the 10 Best New Restaurants of 2026. The Common Good debuted in early March with healthy, fast-casual eats Downtown. Shorty’s has locations on the North Shore and in Homestead.

Think these hotspots are the hottest in the city? Nominations for the 2026 Best of the ‘Burgh readers poll are open. Through March 22, you can nominate your favorites across more than 150 categories. Voting begins April 1.

Last year, readers cast more than 230,000 votes to determine the best of Pittsburgh’s dining, entertainment, shopping and more.
