Joe Manganiello Shares Fun Oscar Moment with Pittsburgh Actors
You can’t take the Pittsburgh out of these actors.
The Academy Awards featured a variety of big names in Hollywood interacting on the red carpet, but one group of Pittsburgh natives got together to show a little love for their city at the afterparty.
Mt. Lebanon native Joe Manganiello, known for his role on HBO’s “True Blood,” tweeted a picture from one of the ceremony’s afterparties featuring himself with fellow Pittsburghers Jeff Goldblum and Michael Keaton. All well known for their connections to the city, the mens’ tweet suggested that you could never take the Yinzer out of the actors.

In other Pittsburgh-related Oscar news, “Hair Love,” a seven-minute Kickstarter-funded project, won Best Animated Short; Pittsburgh native Wendy Willis is head of development at the company responsible for its animation, Six Point Harness. Tom Hanks, nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Fred Rogers in “A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood” lost to Brad Pitt for his performance in “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood.”
