Pressley Ridge provides hope and support for 9,000 families each year in communities in Western and Central Pennsylvania, as well as Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Founded on the North Side of Pittsburgh nearly two centuries ago, very few organizations can claim such a rich history and track record of success.

Since its beginnings as an orphanage, Pressley Ridge’s core mission has remained the same: to do whatever it takes to create success for the children and families they serve. Just as the Protestant women tended to the children at the orphanage in the 1800s, the 70+ programs Pressley Ridge offers today are centered on caring for the welfare of youth and families.

From foster care and community-based services to specialized education and support for youth as they transition to adulthood – Pressley Ridge offers a wide range of support for youth and families, but mental health and wellbeing are at the heart of everything they do.
