Sousa & Company Will Take Over Mayor Fetterman's Home
December is normally filled with holiday gatherings. But how many can say they've hung out at Braddock Mayor John Fetterman's place while eating food prepared by chef Kevin Sousa?
On Dec. 8, Sousa and his crews from Harvard & Highland and Union Pig & Chicken will be mixing up craft cocktails, roasting a lamb and pig, and sharing in the yuletide fun at Fetterman's home — all for a good cause; the event will benefit the children of Braddock, to ensure their holiday is extra bright.

Sample Treats & Shop in Lawrenceville
Of the many local holiday traditions, the Joy of Cookies Tour, held annually in Lawrenceville, might be the sweetest. Nearly 30 shops along busy Butler Street (and a few connecting roads) offer cookie samples in addition to their special wares (apparel, knickknacks and more).
The tour continues through Sunday. And the "cookie mall" will return to the Teamsters Temple tomorrow, with no shortage of freshly baked (and reasonably priced) goodies. If all the walking has you weary, hop on Molly's Trolley tomorrow afternoon; your feet will thank you.

Grab Grub (and a Beer) at OTB
Most people view OTB Bicycle Cafe in South Side as a hip spot, one that's welcoming for bikers of all stripes (and offers plenty of brews). But it's also a perfect place for inexpensive fare. Mondays bring the $5 burger deal, while beef-, chicken- or tofu-filled tortillas cost just one buck on Taco Tuesdays. And then there's the not-yet-famous 25-cent seitan wing promo on Thursdays (yum!).
So when you find yourself short on cash (especially during the holiday shopping season), remember your money can go a little further at OTB.
