Director of Technology Programs/Advanced Robotics Manufacturing Institute
After serving active duty in the Air Force, Tasha Miller returned to Pittsburgh in 2018, hoping to give back to the city that shaped her.
She today serves as the director of technology programs at the ARM Institute, leading a $30 million portfolio. Miller notably used a $14 million federal grant to build and scale the Robotics Manufacturing Hub, a program to de-risk automation for the region’s small and midsized manufacturers.
To further democratize technology, the program has supported over 40 regional manufacturers, upskilled 1,500 workers and catalyzed 15 startups.
Miller also works passionately to broaden participation in STEM initiatives and has served on the Board of Directors at Protohaven Makerspace, helping to expand maker and innovation opportunities across Pittsburgh’s diverse communities.
She also has taught workshops at Mill19 and led the ARM Institute’s Women in Manufacturing group.
