New VisitErie Website Makes Trip Planning a Breeze
The site boasts an interactive regional map and a personalized trip-planning quiz to help visitors explore the region.
Planning a trip to Erie? If so, VisitErie, the county’s official destination marketing organization, has a resource for you.
The organization has launched a newly redesigned website that aims to “create a more intuitive, mobile-first experience for visitors exploring places to stay, things to do, dining options, events and attractions throughout the area,” according to a press release.
The website offers the following to help visitors seamlessly plan their Great Lakes getaway:
- An interactive regional map that organizes Erie County into seven tourism regions, helping visitors discover attractions, businesses and experiences throughout the destination while encouraging exploration beyond traditionally visited areas.
- A personalized trip-planning quiz that matches visitors with recommendations tailored to their interests.
- Seasonal content integrated throughout the visitor experience to reinforce Erie County’s appeal as a four-season destination and highlight reasons to visit year-round.
- Improved site organization and navigation that make it easier to find information based on interests, activities and travel preferences.
The redesign represents the next step in VisitErie’s brand evolution and supports the organization’s efforts to showcase Erie County as a year-round destination, encourage exploration beyond familiar attractions and help visitors discover experiences that match their interests, VisitErie officials say.
The site also strengthens VisitErie’s ability to promote the county’s visitor economy, which supports 15,000 jobs, generates $1.15 billion in direct visitor spending annually and contributes $113.4 million in state and local tax revenue.
“Erie County offers a wide variety of experiences for visitors, whether they are planning a weekend at Presque Isle, a family getaway, an outdoor adventure, or a quick escape,” Mark Jeanneret, president and CEO of VisitErie, says in a statement. “The new VisitErie.com makes planning easier than ever while helping us better showcase everything the destination has to offer. We invite visitors to explore the site, take the trip-planning quiz and discover experiences that match their interests.”
