4 Pittsburgh Home and Garden Tours to Explore this Fall
Think the nebby pastime is reserved for the summer months only? Think again.

Home and garden tours reach their peak during the summer months, but this year, four neighborhoods are hosting that warm weather pastime in early autumn. Here are four home and garden tours to explore before it gets too cold to keep the door open for nebby Yinzers.
54th Annual Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour | Sunday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For 53 years, the Mexican War Streets House and Garden Tour has invited Pittsburghers into the homes and community gardens that make up the historic neighborhood. Returning for its 54th year, the tour includes 10 residences and one garden that span the gamut from newly renovated to century-old houses.
Tickets for the self-guided tour must be purchased in advance for $35 and can be picked up at the welcome booth in front of the Boggs Mansion Hotel on the day of the event.
Brighton Heights House Tour 2026 | Saturday, Oct. 3rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m
Hop on Molly’s Trolley to take a self-guided house tour through eight properties around the Brighton Heights neighborhood. Explore everything from a classic American Foursquare to a once-condemned farmhouse that has been given new life by its owners. The tour begins and ends in Legion Memorial Park with the Brighton Heights Citizen Federation and Allegheny City Brewing Summer Series. The festival will feature live music, vendors, food trucks and a Brighton Heights Ale.
Tickets can be purchased for $25.
41st Annual Shadyside House Tour | Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After a temporary hiatus, the annual Shadyside House Tour returns. The self-guided tour will include a variety of homes that vary in style and size, with the residents available on site to share the history and stories of their homes.
The return of the house tour was much anticipated; tickets for the event are sold out. However, if you are still interested in seeing the historic homes, you can enter the ticket giveaway by Sept. 23 for a chance to win. You can also sign up as a volunteer and receive a complementary ticket that allows you to visit the homes during your time off with a special Volunteer Thank-You Party.
Live Worship Shop Tour 2026 | Saturday, Oct. 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The 8th annual Live Worship Shop House Tour aims to celebrate the entire Bellevue community and its architecturally diverse houses. According to the event website, the self-guided tour invites participants to explore “the spaces where our community lives, worships and shops.”
General admission tickets can be purchased for $45. VIP packages, which can be purchased for $125, include two tour tickets, merchandise, a chance to win an original watercolor portrait of Lincoln Avenue and a $25 gift certificate for breakfast, lunch or dinner at a Bellevue restaurant partnered with the tour.
