Women & Business Profile: Gabrielle Morella
Gabrielle Morella is the managing partner at Morella & Associates.
“The best business advice I’ve ever received is that relationships are everything.”
For Gabrielle Morella, the practice of law is built on something deeper than contracts, transactions or legal documents. At the center of her work is a belief that strong relationships create lasting success — a philosophy that has helped guide both her career and the next chapter of a family business that has served the Pittsburgh region for more than three decades.
Morella is the managing partner of Morella & Associates, a law firm founded in 1991 by her father, Jeffrey J. Morella. What began as a solo practice focused on estate planning and tax law has grown into a full-service firm serving individuals, families and businesses throughout the region.
“The best business advice I’ve ever received is that relationships are everything,” Morella said. “Skills matter, but long-term success ultimately comes from trust and how you treat clients, colleagues and your community.”
Named managing partner in 2024, Morella now oversees the firm’s operations while leading its Corporate and Business Representation Practice Group. She also plays a key role in estate planning and administration, helping clients navigate business transactions and prepare for the future. Her leadership marks a new generation for the firm, which has expanded its management team while maintaining the personalized approach that has defined its reputation.
Describing herself as focused, driven, compassionate and practical, Morella has helped grow the firm’s revenue, client base and staff. She has also earned recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2024 through 2026 and was named to Captive Review’s 2026 Forty Under 40 list.
“Never underestimate your ability to make an impact on others, accomplish your goals and do not be afraid to lean on others when needed,” she said.
Looking ahead, Morella sees continued growth for the firm while preserving the close client relationships that have long set it apart. She notes that changing client expectations and a rapidly evolving legal landscape have pushed the firm to embrace greater flexibility, responsiveness and digital accessibility.
Beyond her legal work, Morella is active in several community organizations, including Blood Cancer United’s Visionaries of the Year Campaign, where she was named 2025 Visionary of the Year and continues to serve in leadership roles. She also serves on the board of Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry and supports a variety of local nonprofit initiatives. For Morella, professional success and community engagement remain closely connected — both rooted in building meaningful relationships that endure.
Gabrielle Morella will be honored at the Women & Business Awards event on July 8. This vibrant evening features honoree spotlights, a keynote presentation, meaningful networking opportunities and support for an incredible local nonprofit partner. Click here to learn more about this program.
