The National Aviary’s signature 21+ fundraiser, Night in the Tropics Presented by UPMC Health Plan, is back this year on Friday, July 17 with a new theme: Sunset Riviera. “Set sail” on a dreamy, Mediterranean-inspired affair featuring live music by No Bad JuJu, unlimited small plates from local eateries, beer, wine, seltzers, and a refreshing signature cocktail. Restaurants include Raising Cane’s, 1930 by Atria’s, Pittsburgh Barbecue Company, Evanly Bakes, and more! Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available.
Ditch the formal attire and dress for a summer yacht party: floral prints, sundresses, and comfortable sandals encouraged! Partygoers will meet Animal Ambassadors up close, enjoy photo opportunities, and browse a silent auction full of unique items like signed sports memorabilia, National Aviary Animal Encounters, and brand-new Gibson guitars. Plus, watch local artist Maria DeSimone Prascak of Maria’s Ideas (mariasideas.com) paint a beautiful portrait of the Aviary’s new Harpy Eagle LIVE and then bid on it at the silent auction or online!
