Eat’n Park partnered with Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream to create an ice cream flavor inspired by the restaurant’s iconic Christmas Star commercial, which has aired since the early 1980s. The vanilla-peppermint ice cream is loaded with Smiley Cookie bits and yellow sprinkles.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, it’s the special lift you need this holiday season. But it won’t last all year long.

Starting Nov. 23, pints of the limited-edition dessert will be available at Pittsburgh-area Giant Eagle stores and at all Millie’s locations (where you also can eat it by the scoop). Proceeds from Christmas Star Ice Cream pint sales will benefit Eat’n Park’s annual Caring for Kids campaign, which has raised more than $12 million to date for local children’s hospitals.

“After the success of our 75th anniversary ice cream flavors this summer, we are thrilled to once again collaborate with our friends at Millie’s for a good cause,” says Trina DeMarco, director of corporate communications & community partnerships at Eat’n Park Hospitality Group. “Caring for Kids means so much to our team members and guests, and this ice cream provides a sweet additional way to support the campaign and celebrate our classic commercial!”
