2023 40 Under 40 Honoree: Brazitte Poole (35)
“If I could say what I am most proud of: my decision to quit my government job and go to law school. It was the hardest decision I had to make but the best.”
Brazitte Poole
Staff Attorney, UPMC
If you want to make a mark, Brazitte Poole has advice that she “really embraced” after hearing it once: “Every room you find yourself in is better because you’re there, period.”
The UPMC staff attorney advises executives and human resources partners on labor and employment matters. Her passion is fueled by the fact that she’s living her dream of being an attorney.
She fell in love with employment law while she spent her summers working with firm Ogletree Deakins and joined them post-graduation before moving on to UPMC.
Poole also is co-founder of Invest in Her, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering local women entrepreneurs, and is the treasurer of Allegheny County Bar Association’s Homer S. Brown Division.
Earlier this year, Duquesne University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law bestowed her its Recent Graduate of the Year award.
