Suzie Lachut has built her life and career around food. As the managing director of Growth & Retention for Parkhurst Dining, where she recently celebrated her 10-year work anniversary, Lachut leads the sales team and interfaces with clients in more than 15 states.

“My life has been punctuated by mentors and advocates seeing something in me before I saw it in myself,” she says. “My way of paying this gift forward is to make sure that the light shines on the people that I believe in most.”

Lachut was elected board chair of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in 2021, a role through which she hopes to help create a community where people are food secure and where no one goes to bed hungry at night.

“All of us are called to make sure our neighbors are cared for,” she says.
