World-famous hymn singers/songwriters Keith and Kristyn Getty will take the stage in October at Grove City College.

From Northern Ireland, the Gettys, accompanied by their touring band, will showcase their talents at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 in the Arena of the Physical Learning Center on campus.

In addition to the concert, during the morning of Oct. 13, the Gettys will lead a chapel service, teach a hymn-writing class, conduct a seminar for early-education majors about introducing children to music and worship and sit for a Q&A session with college President Paul J. McNulty.

By reinventing the traditional hymn, the Gettys have combined Christian doctrine with classical, folk and contemporary composition to create songs that have been been sung by an estimated 100 million people each year in churches and concert halls around the world. Their songs have been performed or recorded by a diverse range of artists including Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Owl City, Lyle Lovett, Newsboys and Mercy Me.

Tickets are available at www.gcc.edu/thegettys.
