Thrival Innovation + Music Festival has announced its 2017 lineup with Wiz Khalifa as the main event.
Held this year from Sept. 27 to 30 at Carrie Furnace, Thrival is an annual event that combines an innovation conference with a weekend of live entertainment. The event is produced by nonprofit organization Ascender.
“Thrival 2017 is set up to be a special experience,” says Bobby Zappala, founder of Thrival and CEO of Ascender, in a press release. “We’re proud to have a Pittsburgh artist headline the bill for the first time in the festival’s history.”
Other artists in the lineup include Logic, Carnage, Griz, Two Door Cinema Club and more than a dozen other acts.
“We welcome an eclectic mix of multi-platinum and chart-topping artists who will complement a host site that has the potential to be one of the best live music venues in the entire U.S.,” says Dan Law, Thrival director and vice president of business development at Ascender.
Thrival Innovation will be held Sept. 27 to 28, followed by the Thrival Music Festival Sept. 29 to 30. The theme of the conference is “Intelligence: Humans X Tech,” and it will feature discussions on Pittsburgh’s strength in robotics, artificial intelligence and machines.
Two-day admission tickets and VIP passes for Thrival Music are on sale now. For the full lineup and to purchase tickets, visit thrivalfestival.com.
