Willow in Ohio Township is pivoting from a fine dining restaurant to an events center.

“From weddings to parties, Willow has been the North Hills’ destination for so many special moments,” Richard Stern, co-owner of the restaurant, said in a press release. “This change allows us to focus on what our guests want most from Willow.”

The 15-year-old restaurant is part of the S&P Restaurant Group, which also includes Spoon in East Liberty and five BRGR outposts plus the BRGR food truck.

The restaurant underwent a menu and interior overhaul in late 2014 and last July, Aaron Allen came onboard as executive chef following a stint at 2-star Daniel in New York City.

However Brian Pekarick, who runs the S&P with Stern, says they’ve noticed an uptick in catering for the restaurant group. Once the transition is complete, catering for BRGR will be handled by Willow.

Willow will still be open for restaurant service on Valentine’s Day, as well as other holidays such as Mother’s Day and Easter. Menus and information on reservations will be available soon on Willow’s website.

If you’re holding a gift card purchased at Willow, it can be redeemed at Spoon or any BRGR location.
