Two restaurant chains are celebrating Friday’s home opener at PNC Park with free food.
From 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m on Friday, Pittsburgh-area Chick-fil-A restaurants will be giving away free original chicken sandwiches to any Pirates fans sporting their black-and-gold gear.
“The Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich is our most classic menu item, so it's a perfect fit for America's most classic game,” Mark Thornsberry, local franchise operator of Chick-fil-A South Hills, says in a release.
“We love supporting our home team and hope loyal Pirates fans will join us for a treat in celebration of our home opener.”
Pittsburgh’s Eat'n Park locations are offering a similar bargain: they’ll be giving out free cookies to fans wearing Pirates T-shirts, jerseys, pins and hats.
No purchase is necessary for either deal, you just have to rep your team by wearing official Pirates gear. Both giveaways are for Friday only.
