Watch: Dressed to Impress at the Allies Ball

In outfits fit for a King or Queen, 400 Pittsburghers enjoyed a night of Royal Revelry at the second annual fundraiser for Allies for Health + Wellbeing.

Allies for Health + Wellbeing (formerly Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force) raised more than $128,000 at the annual Allies Ball on Saturday, March 30 to fund programs and services offered by Allies.

The event, hosted at the University Club of the University of Pittsburgh was designed by Thommy Conroy of 4121 Main. Honorary event co-chairs were John Lovelace, president, UPMC for You, and Billy Porter, Golden Globe-nominated actor. The evening also featured a special performance by NYC cabaret queen Marti G. Cummings.

At the event, Allies presented the 2019 Kerry Stoner Award to Scott Noxon for his longtime support of Allies and PATF.  The Kerry Stoner Award is presented annually to honor a person who has shown commitment to Stoner’s legacy and vision. Stoner, a tireless HIV/AIDS activist who died of complications from AIDS in 1993, was a founder and the first executive director of the PATF.
