Flowers:
Karrie Hlista Designs (408 Beaver St., Sewickley; 412/259-8243, karriehlistadesigns.com) created bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party. The bride and her mom crafted the centerpieces using artificial flowers in deep purple hues and arranged them in vases from Michael's (michaels.com).

On the Bride:
Nicole at MB Bride (123 S. Urania Ave., Greensburg; 724/836-6626, mbbride.com) helped Vicki select an organza and tulle ball gown with sweetheart neckline and Swarovski crystals. Vicki asked to extend the gown’s train to cathedral length and add a sash.

On the Groom:
Jack's Tuxedo (multiple locations, 412/829-9120, jackstuxedo.com) provided dark gray tuxes with wing-tipped collars.

Reception:
The couple celebrated their union with a reception at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe (1000 Corporate Drive, Canonsburg; 724/743-5000, hiltongardeninn.com). The event kicked off in the hotel’s foyer, where chefs cooked lamb chops and scallops. Dinner consisted of filet and chicken meals, a martini station and a bananas foster flambé station for dessert. The couple also enjoyed featuring their signature drink, a “Vicki and Tom Collins.” The Hilton allowed the bride and her crafty mom to decorate the space with linens (CV Linens, 512/821-1178, cvlinens.com) and centerpieces.

Cake:
The mother-of-the-bride added another special touch to her daughter’s day by making a tiered fondant cake with layers of chocolate and almond cake filled with buttercream frosting.

Music:
DJ Jeremy Ganss (814/221-0737, jeremyganss.com) kept the tempo of the evening.
