Two Events Planned for Prospective Waynesburg Students
A fall visitation day and a Saturday information session aim to allow interested students a look into life at the university.

Waynesburg University will host two weekend events for prospective high school and transfer students this fall.
A fall visitation day is scheduled for Sept. 17, and a Saturday information session is scheduled for Oct. 15.
Registration for the event on Sept. 17 will begin at 9 a.m. in Roberts Chapel. Afterwards, students and their parents will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and staff in their elected majors, learn about admissions and financial aid, take a tour of the campus and have a lunch in the dining hall.
“Visitation days at Waynesburg University are designed to provide prospective students and their families an informative and engaging day,” says Jacqueline Palko, director of admissions, in a statement. “Not only will students and their families learn about our mission and excellent academic programs and outcomes, but they will also interact with current students and faculty members.”
The Saturday information session on Oct. 15 is the first the university is hosting and offers students and their families a quicker glimpse into life at Waynesburg. The day includes an information session with an admissions counselor and a campus tour led by students.
“Trying to schedule a college visit during the week can be stressful for some families,” says Palko. “Offering a quick Saturday information session will allow students and their families some flexibility and allow them to still enjoy their weekend.”
