Three North Side Garden Tours (And One on the South Side) You'll Want to Explore
Here’s your chance to explore some the city’s most beautiful historic (and new) homes and outdoor spaces.
If you’re into checking out stunning homes while sampling food and wine from local restaurants, then you might want to head to the North Side next month — and then travel across the city’s bridges and tunnels to the South Side.
The three home and garden tours taking place on the North Side in June feature the unique architecture of those neighborhoods and, in some cases, cocktails.
Now in its 28th year, the South Side Home Tour in May also has many diverse homes to explore, including new condos and restored row houses. Here’s a look at when and where to go to get your summer garden tour on.
When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, May 19
Where: Check in at Brew House Lofts, 711 S. 21st St., South Side
What: Now in its 28th year, the annual South Side Home Tour features everything from re-purposed lofts and new condominiums to distinctive restored homes. Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 on the day of the event. Children younger than 12 are not permitted on the tour. Proceeds from the event support the South Side Community Council.
