Three Bridal Shops Team Up for One Major Sample Sale

Get ready for some serious bridal and occasion shopping at this one-of-a-kind sale in Sewickley.

This week, you’ll find a sample sale with not just one, but three local bridal boutiques in one place.

Lex & Lynne, Luna and Blanc de Blanc Bridal Boutique are teaming up to host the Save the Date Sample Sale, which will feature international and national designers found in collections at each boutique.

The sample sale will be held at Lex & Lynne, located on Beaver Street in Sewickley, and incorporate styles from Luna Boutique (also located on Beaver Street) and Blanc de Blanc in Carrick.

“We thought that it would be a great opportunity for Pittsburgh brides to have more than one store’s sample to choose from … [to] make it more worth their time and ours at the same [time],” says Erin Szymanski, owner and creative director of Luna.

The sample sale will begin with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, and will continue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The sale will include wedding gowns, occasion dresses and accessories — veils, hair accessories, belts and jewelry — during all three days at up to 70% off.

A multitude of designers, including Bo & Luca, Rue de Seine, Anna Campbell, Anais Anette, Odylyne, the Ceremony and Flora Bridal, will be included. Cocktail dresses and evening gowns will be available from Luna and Lex & Lynne.

The sale includes mostly floor samples, typically bridal size 6-12, and there is only one of each style available in bridal gowns and a limited availability of occasion dresses. The event guidelines suggest dressing for quick changes, in leggings and bralette, and coming ready to make a final purchase decision.

However, Szymanski says it is not a good place for first time shoppers, as it “can be a bit overwhelming in the number of people there” and you won’t receive as much individual help as a regular bridal appointment.

“It can be a little hectic, so it’s good to have an idea of what you’re looking for so that you can make that decision,” says Szymanski.

Additionally, the guidelines advise each shopper to “bring your sense of adventure, a touch of patience and have fun!”

All dresses will be sold off the rack in as-is condition, and the event is first come first served. All sales are final.
