This Dog Can Talk, and He'll Make You Think
Watch the web series, shot and edited in Pittsburgh, that inspired ABC's “Downward Dog.” The TV show also will be shot and edited in the Steel City.
Pittsburgh-based Animal Inc. has released to YouTube its “Downward Dog” web series which inspired the TV show of the same name.
The show follows the mesmerizing relationship between main character “Nan” and her dog, “Martin.” The TV series will differ from its web counterpart in that “Nan” will be played by a different actress, there will be dialogue in addition to “Martin's” narration, and “Nan” will have an ex-boyfriend, career, best friend and storylines.
Animal Inc. was founded in 2001 by Kathy Dzuibek, Michael Killen and Jim Kreitzburg. Dzuibek, Killen and Samm Hodges will be executive producers for the 30-minute sitcom, which is expected to debut midseason on ABC next year. No firm date has been set yet.
