Thiel College to Spend More than $1.4 Million on Improvements
The college will make infrastructure improvements, buy new equipment and much more.
Over the course of the summer, Thiel College plans to invest more than $1.4 million to make campus improvements, including facilities maintenance, beautification work and purchases of new technology, scientific equipment, and vehicles. Parking lots will be undergoing repairs, tennis courts will be repaired and resurfaced, two lab spaces will be renovated and much more. (see video above)
“We are delighted to have the resources to accomplish these projects that improve the infrastructure of the campus and provide an enhanced living and learning environment for our students,” says Robert Schmoll, vice president for finance and management, in a statement. “We try to do something in all areas on campus.”
The total cost of infrastructure improvements will be $1.25 million, while the cost of new equipment purchases equals $180,000. The college is working on construction of a new track and field complex that is slated to be completed next year.
