The New Space for This Year’s Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival Is Huge
Pittsburgh Magazine has taken over management of the Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival this year, and we’re reinventing the event in a new space.

The theme remains the finest in spirits, but the event space at Pittsburgh Magazine’s Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival on Oct. 23 will offer guests a brand new experience.
The Rivers Casino Events Center, which opened at the beginning of this year, is 25,000 square feet on the second floor of the casino. The space doubles the footprint for the festival, allowing us to add interactive spirits lounges and exhibitors.
Grand Tasting and VIP tickets include a full dinner at the Rivers Casino Grand View Buffet, located just steps from the event center. Fill your plate — or plates, we don’t judge — with any combination of classic American, Italian or Asian cuisines, barbecue, salads and desserts. The casino also offers complimentary soft drinks, coffee and tea 24/7.
The festival opens at 5 p.m., but check-in at the first floor Drum Bar begins at 3 p.m., giving attendees the chance to relax downstairs before the festival starts. Try your luck or spend some time with DJ JD Green and the iHeartRadio team as they broadcast live all afternoon from the Drum Bar.
The Rivers Casino is the perfect spot for #PghWhiskeyFest because the after-party is built in. Self parking in the casino garage is free, but hailing a rideshare or bringing a designated driver is recommended for anyone who plans on imbibing.
