Sugar and Spice: Cookie Table Contest Winners

Pittsburgh has it all: a beautiful skyline, breathtaking bridges and the most gorgeous cookie tables we’ve ever seen.

It’s a Pittsburgh tradition. After the bride and groom have said “I Do” and the guests have moved to the reception site, it’s time to feast on trays and trays of sweets from the traditional cookie table.

We asked Pittsburgh couples to submit pictures of their own cookie tables from weddings in 2015. The results? Delicious!

And now, without further adieu, we present our winning cookie table!

Sarah O'Connel and Isaac Smoak's cookie wagon from their wedding on June 27 at Shady Elms Farm in Hickory, Washington County, has won our inaugural Cookie Table Contest. The wagon holds pictures of all of the couples in their families for three generations and includes gourmet cupcakes in five flavors, pizzelles and more made by the couple’s family and friends.

The couple’s incredible cookie wagon is featured in our spring 2016 Weddings issue.

Meredith and Michael Milad’s cookie table is pretty in pink. Featuring cake pops, pecan tassies and pistachio cookies, it was a perfect way to celebrate the couple’s wedding on March 21, 2015 at the Omni William Penn Hotel. They even had smiley cookies from Eat’n Park as well as pink and white M&Ms to celebrate the couple’s double “m” names!

“Love, sweet love” indeed! Stacey Martin and Patrick Brady’s cookie table is filled with the staples: biscotti, pizzelles and even a family recipe called a squiggle! It was decorated with flowers, glass vases and cookie stands from the on-site venue. This simple and chic design was perfect for their wedding on Aug. 15, 2015 at the Pittsburgh Field Club.
