Two pieces of reclaimed barn oak make one fine piece to add to your living space.
There’s no confusion here. The handcrafted industrial split coffee table [$800], made from reclaimed barn oak and held together by eight stainless steel bolts, is a simple way to add style to your living room.
Helmed by partners Justin Lacey and Miriam Devlin, Day Shift Furniture produces modern, sustainable furniture, built by hand right here in Pittsburgh.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied industrial design and architecture, Lacey is Day Shift’s designer. Devlin, a University of Pittsburgh grad, manages the company’s projects and works in the woodshop on fabrication and finishing.
The duo, who designed and built furniture for a conference/work space at CMU’s School of Design, also creates custom pieces.
