When it comes to holiday shopping, we don’t know anyone who doesn’t enjoy scoring a good deal. Fortunately for those searching for just the right sweater to give a relative — at just the right price — J. Crew Mercantile is here for you.
The 6,039 square-foot store at The Block Northway in Ross Township is part of a relatively new initiative from J.Crew that brings value-driven J.Crew Factory products to retail malls and shopping centers. J.Crew Factory stores typically only are found at outlet malls.
J.Crew Mercantile, which opened Nov. 22, is the latest discount retailer to join The Block Northway, which also includes a Nordstrom Rack and Saks Off 5th.

The Art of Shopping
The Carnegie Museum of Art store will host a holiday open house Sunday, Dec 4, in the museum lobby. The event includes deals on a selection of unusual, locally made gifts — and it pays to be a member.
While everything in the stores will be discounted by 10 percent Sunday, museum members will receive 20 percent off all store purchases. In addition to live music, "Pittsburgh: A Coloring Book" illustrator Rick Antolic will be on hand to draw with participants.
Here’s a look at the CMOA store’s schedule of free activities. P.S. museum admission is not required for the event.
