Rustic Retreats
Before the aesthetic of your resort stay fades, bring a few design ideas home and make them your own.

Nestled in our own backyard, three distinguished resorts create inspiring spaces, ranging from stately style to rustic charm. Each offers premier services, amenities and accommodations that are of the utmost importance — and their aesthetic appeal is top of mind, too. As a guest, you might dream of having a room in your house that resembles one in these resorts.
If a home makeover is in the works for 2012, look no further than Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Seven Springs Mountain Resort or The Lodge at Glendorn to gather a plethora of design inspiration. Declare a resolution to switch up the color scheme in your living room, or pick new carpeting for your bedroom. Whatever you decide, take a look at these rustic retreats for creative ideas.
Seven Springs Mountain Resort exudes the charm of a vintage, casual retreat with all the updated amenities one would expect to find at a classic upscale resort. Designer George Conte of George Conte Design Consultants always stresses that color is the least-expensive element of an upgrade. Whether it’s used as an accent or to make a statement in an entire room, colorful paint and accessories can give a boost to spaces.

One important color is on the minds of those at Seven Springs: green. In an effort to become “greener,” LED-light sources will be installed in the resort, Trillium Spa and Sporting Clays lodge; they’ve already added recycled carpeting and wall coverings — a stylish, eco-friendly choice.
