Pittsburgh Magazine won five Golden Quills sponsored by the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania at a ceremony on May 29 at Rivers Casino.
The winners are:
- Enterprise/Investigative and Sports: “Ghost of the Tight Man: The Mystery Behind Steeler Great Sam Davis’ Life After Football,” by Lee Wolverton.
- Traditional Feature: “Sadie’s Tree: Lessons From a Teen Suicide,” by Cristina Rouvalis.
- News Feature: “A New School of Thought: Could Anthony Hamlet’s Staunch Focus Fix Legacy Problems at the Pittsburgh Public Schools?” by Mary Niederberger in partnership with PublicSource.
- Science/Environment: “How Green Is Our City?” by Oliver Morrison in partnership with PublicSource.
