Pittsburgh Street Sweeping Returns without Parking Enforcement

Street sweepers will be operating in the city from now until Nov. 30.

Warm weather has returned — and so has Pittsburgh’s city-wide street sweeping.

Street sweeping resumed April 1, but without the ticketing of parked vehicles, according to Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Works.

A press release said this was “due to the large number of people still working from home during the pandemic.”

The department also asked residents who are able to “move their vehicles when possible on the designated street sweeping days in their neighborhoods to allow for crews to effectively maintain streets.”

Street sweeping continues through Nov. 30. The return date for parking reinforcement has not yet been announced.
