Although the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has had to cancel the Three Rivers Arts Festival, among other performances, it is finding a way for the show to go on despite the pandemic.

In order to encourage safe social distancing, all Pittsburgh Cultural Trust events are suspended through June 14. The arts festival was scheduled for June 5-14. But that festival and other events, such as the Children’s Theater Festival scheduled for May 14-17, are moving to an online format, continuing the Trust’s development of online art experiences.

“While nothing can ever replace the beauty and joy of coming together and experiencing art, in coming weeks we will be working diligently to bring our audiences digital experiences that will help us all stay connected throughout this intermission,” the Trust says in a statement.

As dates for the events get closer, more information about their online components will be announced through the Trust’s website.
